“Money Minded” – Workshop on Saving Money by ANZ

Employees of ANZ conducted a Workshop for II SEM MBA students on 5th May, 2017 on topics like setting goals, how to achieve long term and short goals, where we can reduce household expenses. Workshop was mainly conducted to build an attitude towards savings among youngsters.
Activities: Following are the activities conducted for students to understand the value of money, how to save it for their future.
Activity 1: Students were given a VISION BOARD where they can paste or draw a picture to exhibit there short term and long term goals. They instructed that the goals should be SMART
1. S – Specific
2. M – Measurable
3. A – Achievable
4. R – Realistic
5. T – Time-bound
Students were able to plan, bifurcate between short term and long term goals.
Activity 2: Students were provided with “My household budget” and discuss how they can reduce household expense.
Learning from the workshop:
➢ Planning for future
➢ Make money last
➢ Differentiating between needs and wants
➢ Assertiveness to say “NO”
The ANZ team concluded the workshop with how to get committed to our goals, plan for it, decide to save money and put it to practice. They also provided refreshments provided at the end to the students.
