Nagendra K Mis the Principal at BIMS Bangalore. He is an Engineering Graduate in Industrial & Production Engineering from the prestigious BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore. He has Master of Business Administration from IGNOU, New Delhi, specialised in Operation Management, which adds to his core competency.
His Industrial experience began with M/s ITI ltd., Bangalore, as project Trainee and later worked as marketing Engineer at M/s Shanthi Gears Ltd., Coimbatore. But his keen inclination towards Teaching made him to start a new career with PES Institutions, Bangalore, as Lecturer. Along with his teaching assignments he was also shouldered the responsibilities as Management Representative for ISO 9002 Audits and also as Overall Co-ordinator for accreditation process in one of the group institutions by NBA, AICTE.
Prof. Nagendra has co-authored a hand book on Information Search, Analysis and Presentation, published by PES Institutions. He has presented papers at many International conferences and also published papers in reputed journals and publications. His interest in Management studies has resulted in his pursuit of Doctoral study in Vocational Education and Training from School of Vocational Education and Training, IGNOU, New Delhi, taking M/s Toyota Technical Training Institute as his case.
His other professional interests include Corporate Training. As a Lead Trainer, he has so far trained more than 1000 Bottom-of the–Pyramid Employees belonging to large serve organisations in various Employability Skills. He brings over 18 years of his experience as an executive in Industrial and Academic environment. His interaction with students has motivated them towards becoming successful business managers.
Prof. Nagendra has implemented various Skill Development Programs in the Department, which include industrial visits, case study analysis, conferences, workshops and seminars to impart the real application of the subjects by in house as well as industry experts in different areas.
