With a view to give a practical exposure about the working of an industrial unit and also enhancing the theoretical knowledge, a industry visit to Bangaluru Co-operative Milk Union LTD was organized for the Final year B.Com students on 24 January 2020.
Students visited the plant with an objective to know the production procedures and to gain the knowledge about the various technical aspects of dairy plant including R&D activities and guided by Ms.Chaitra.
Work Station Area:
Collection of milk from various sectors.
Testing of milk.
Pasteurization of milk.
Storage of milk in tanks.
Producing of milk products such as Cheddar Cheese, Pizza Cheese, Butter and Ghee in the name of NANDINI.
Liquid milk is converted into milk powder.
Testing of final product of milk produced.
Packing Process.
Major observations are as follows :
1. Plants and cold storage unit.
2. All by-products are utilized and treated with well establishment waste treatments.
3. Well quality maintained.
4. Customer satisfaction and quality products are the industry mission.
5. Computerized chamber with major technical employees.
6. The waste water at the last process is used to gardening.
7. Products storage area.

Manufacturing Process:
Silos is the machinery, which is used to store the raw milk. The capacity of this machine is approximately 8L. Each machines for each and every by-products storage. There is a Pipeline connection where the things get flow from one production department to another.
The process involves collection of milk from various sectors of village, town and city. All the collected milk is supplied to BAMUL and testing process is carried out to know the flat, quality of milk. Milk is pasteurized less the 100*c and stored in large tanks. According to requirement milk is used to produce the product like cheddar cheese, butter, ghee and milk powder. After the product produced testing is carried out to know the quality of the product.
